Three days in Las Vegas? Here’s how to make them unforgettable

Travel Itinerary

Las Vegas, the city where dreams come true or at least where you can pretend they do while sipping a cocktail at 3 AM. You might think three days is too short to explore this sprawling desert oasis, but trust me, it’s enough time to create some unforgettable memories. Grab your sunglasses, put on your walking shoes, and let’s dive into this three-day itinerary that balances the glitz of Las Vegas with some hidden gems. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry (from laughter), and you might even lose a dollar or two at the slots.

Day 1: Get your bearings and indulge

Morning: Land in Las Vegas and check into your hotel. If you’re staying on the Strip, you’re already in the middle of the action! Grab a quick breakfast at Eggslut in The Cosmopolitan. Their breakfast sandwiches are life-changing. After that, take a leisurely stroll down the Strip. Get familiar with the casinos and the general chaos, because why not start your day with a little sensory overload?

Afternoon: Time to get your game face on. Head over to Fremont Street and check out the vintage casinos. Have lunch at Heart Attack Grill, where you can enjoy a burger that’s probably more calories than you should consume in a week. Don’t forget to take a picture with the waitstaff dressed as doctors. It’s a little weird, but then again, so is Las Vegas.

  • Visit the Fremont Street Experience for some live music and dazzling light shows.
  • Stop by Neon Boneyard to see the city's iconic neon signs and snap some Instagram-worthy photos.

Evening: Treat yourself to a show. You can’t come to Vegas without catching at least one performance. Consider attending Cirque du Soleil’s “O” at the Bellagio. It’s a mesmerizing aquatic masterpiece that will have you questioning reality. Post-show, grab dinner at Carbone, an Italian restaurant that’s worth the hype. Make sure to reserve a table in advance. You’ll thank me later.

Day 2: Adventure awaits

Morning: Rise and shine! After a late night, you deserve a hearty brunch. Head to Jardin at the Wynn for a buffet that will leave you in a food coma. Afterward, embark on a half-day trip to Red Rock Canyon. It’s about a 30-minute drive, and the stunning views will remind you that nature exists outside of the neon lights.

  • Take the scenic drive through Red Rock Canyon.
  • Hike one of the easy trails, like Calico Hills, for some breathtaking photos.

Afternoon: Return to the Strip and recharge at your hotel. Why not take a power nap? You’ll need it. Later, head over to The LINQ and take a spin on the High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel. The views from the top are fantastic, especially at sunset.

Evening: Dinner at Yardbird Southern Table & Bar for some fried chicken that will make your taste buds dance. Afterward, explore the nightlife. Check out Omnia Nightclub for some world-class DJs, or keep it chill with a cocktail at The Chandelier bar at The Cosmopolitan.

Day 3: Relax and unwind

Morning: Sleep in a bit. You’ve earned it. After you wake up, head to Sushi Neko for a delightful brunch with a Japanese twist. Try their sushi rolls; they might just be the best thing you eat during your trip.

Afternoon: Spend your last afternoon at Pool at The Venetian. Grab a cabana, sip on a frozen drink, and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation. If you’re feeling adventurous, rent a gondola and let the gondolier serenade you. Who needs romance when you have Vegas?

  • Check out the Venetian’s Grand Canal Shoppes for some last-minute souvenir shopping.
  • Visit the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens for a colorful display of flowers and plants.

Evening: For your final dinner, indulge at é by José Andrés. It’s an exclusive experience, so book weeks in advance. It’s a culinary adventure you won’t forget. After dinner, stroll through the Bellagio fountains for one last dose of Vegas magic, then hit the Strip one last time for a nightcap. Maybe you’ll feel lucky and win back some of the money you spent on food.

With this itinerary, you can see the best of Las Vegas while also enjoying some local favorites. You’ll laugh, you’ll eat way too much, and you might even make a few friends along the way. So pack your bags, grab your sense of adventure, and get ready to make memories that’ll last a lifetime. Or at least until your next Vegas trip!
